About me. Bottoms up!

Greetings! My name is Alan Dawson and you can contact me at adawson {at} bankspringsbrewery if you fancy a chat.

I am a member of the Campaign For Real Ale and I have loved beer all my life! For many years I have brewed my own beer at home, constantly experimenting with different types of hops, barley and water to try to find the perfect beer.

It all started when I was a young man living in Yorkshire. I would go to the local pub with my friends and drink whatever beer was on tap. I soon became fascinated by the different flavors and aromas of the various beers and I started to experiment with brewing my own.

I would purchase different kinds of hops and barley, and experiment with the water that I used. I would constantly taste the beer as it was brewing, making adjustments along the way. After many years of trial and error, I finally perfected my brewing process and created the perfect beer to suit my own palate. My neighbours loved it too!

I love going to craft fairs. There's always so much to see and do, and I always seem to find the most interesting people there. I've met a lot of people who own breweries, and some of them have been happy to let me make batches of beer at their premises. I've even had some of my beer sold in local pubs. I never really made much money from it, but I loved doing it and it was a great way to meet people. I even managed to make a few very good friends along the way.

It's always been a dream of mine to own my own brewery, and I think I'm finally starting to make that dream a reality. I've been saving up for a while, and I've just about got enough to buy all the equipment I need. I'm also lucky enough to have found a perfect location for my brewery. I can't wait to get started on this new adventure. I know it won't be easy, but I'm ready for the challenge. I'm excited to see what the future holds for my brewery.

brewing beer is my passion and I will continue to do it for as long as I can. I hope that my beer will bring joy to others and help them to appreciate the finer things in life. I am determined to find that perfect beer, no matter how long it takes. Who knows, maybe one day my efforts will be rewarded and I will finally find that elusive perfect pint!
